"GODDESS..THAT'S WHAT YOU ARE... BUT I CAN'T SEE THAT"

Poem by Ray Cappo/Raghunatha das from Pirate Enclave from onecity.com

Goddess...that's what you are...but i can't see that;
i see flesh, hair, bones;
Goddess that's what you are truly; and myself divine
but i don't accept it and act other wise,
and the chase begins. sprinting far away from true identity.
an escape from intimacy. keeping myself busy doing absolutely
nothing at all.
Goddess you belong on a pedestal but instead of loving you
i'm choosing to consume you. Eyeing you, pondering you, loving you,
like the lion loves a lamb.
Oh Goddess, I'm embodied and i sit with myself, in my prison;
my carcass and mind. And in such a pitiful condition
who can i help. Show me the way out Lord.
