This is one of the most sought after records in NYHC - ANTIDOTE "THOU SHALT NOT KILL" EP. This is the ORIGINAL 1983 release on Antidote Records, which features Arthur ³BLISS² Googy from the MISFITS on drums. John Joseph from the Cro-Mags supplies backing vocals on some tracks. Some would say that this was the Holy Grail of NYHC records. Only 1000 copies were ever made.

BIOGRAPHY

ANTIDOTE were a Straight Edge/Hare Krishna Hardcore act founded in the early 80's by ex MISFITS / ROSEMARY'S BABIES man Arthur Googy. In the MISFITS Googy had gone under the stage name of Eerie Von as bass player. He would later adopt the name of 'Bliss'.

The debut 'Thou Shalt Not Kill' EP saw guest vocals from CRO MAGS frontman John Joseph. A bootleg live album 'Live At CBGB's' was issued the same year. Antidote were said to have influenced other New York hardcore bands like Youth of Today, and so paved the way for 'Krishnacore' long before it officially existed.

ANTIDOTE disbanded in 1984 with Googy becoming Eerie Von once again. Initially Von then created the project I'M AFRAID and then decamped to join SAMHAIN and then DANZIG.

An ANTIDOTE reunion album was recorded in 1990 minus Bliss and vocalist Louie.
